Zimanga is the very first game reserve in Africa that is completely tailored to photography. It has quite a few bird-hides and wildlife-hides, designed and build in cooperation with hide photography specialist Bence Mate. There are especially constructed hides for mammals at night, waterfowl, small birds, bee-eaters and vultures. These hides can be booked individually but also as part of a 5 to 9-day photo journey guided by professional photographers. Zimanga is an absolute paradise for photography for both birds as well as wildlife, such as wild dogs, elephants, rhinos, cheetah, lions and buffalo.
Zimanga offers you the very best of photo opportunities for hide photography. The many different hides can also be booked individually. A 3 or 4-night stay is recommended as the minimum duration of your visit. It speaks for itself that the vulture hide is only in use when there is a carcass available. We urge you to book early as this is a very popular photography destination.
